Run To Survive 2016
This is my second marathon this year but the worst of all marathons I have joined. These are the reasons:
1. Long queue for racekit
There are a lot of problems regarding the racekit collection. Luckily, I decided not to go on the first day. I thought that by going at the last day, the queue will be shorter since they have added 2 more days which total up to 4 days. But my assumption is wrong. I was shock to see the long queue at the race day. There are about 4 long queues on that day. The staff were very slow. We waited almost 1 hour to collect. Normally, in my previous experience, last day racekit collection no need to queue.
2. Start late
The event should start at 8pm. I went there at 8:30pm but the even have not started. The event started around 9:15pm.
3. Not enough staff on starting point
The organize had plan to release participants according to the color that they had
marked at the bib (this cause problem no 1 too). But there are no staff checking it. They should not do marking at the the first place if they do not checked it at the starting point.
4. Intersection in the running route
After a few meters from the starting point, there was intersection. Refer to picture below: 
Runner from starting point having difficulty in crossing the intersection. For me, this is the first time I encounter intersection in running route.

. Few zombies
I thought that this event will have a lot of zombies that will chase us around and we will be screaming like hell. Again, my assumption wrong. There were few zombies to take selfies, not to chase people.
6. Small water station.
In previous race that I joined, cups were ready served and participants will immediately just took it and run. Not on this event. There cups were not ready at all. The participants need to take the cups themselves and the volunteer will pour the water. This took a lot of time since there a lot of participants having trouble to take the cups. At the end, participants help themselves by pouring water for others too.
7. Long queue for medal collection
Again, very long queue to collect the medal. Actually there was no queue. Participants just rush to the counter to get medal. Imagine 7000 people pushing each other to get the medal. They should just pass the medal at the finish point like other events. No need to queue.
8. No goodies bag
I thought that by paying expensive fees, there will be goodies bag after the race. But there was only medal. No goodies bag, no banana, no food!!!! Just medal. Oh wait, there was a water station but nahhh. Better I buy Starbucks rather than queue for the water again.
9. DJ but no crowd
After the event, the organizer hired a DJ. But there were only a few people listening and dancing to the music. Around 10 people.What a waste. They should not hire the DJ and do expensive stage. They should use the money to prepare goodies bag.
Actually the organizer did not care about the participant since their first event in Johor. They only care about the money. I think the same things will happen in Ipoh too. I will definitely boycott Delcom and JS entertaiment events after this.
